| If Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) is scaled up to obtain 80% coverage of adolescent and adult men within five years, VMMC has the potential to avert more than 3.4 million new HIV infections and save an estimated US $16.5 billion in care and treatment costs in the next 15 years. This frees up fiscal space for other lifesaving prevention methods and care and treatment interventions.
Now is the time to act!
This session will be a lively, moderated discussion with African Champions, political, community and traditional leaders that will explore challenges, lessons learned and outline the road ahead to accelerating the scale-up of VMMC for HIV Prevention, working towards an AIDS-free generation.
