Since 2010, the World Bank and USAID/PEPFAR have developed a forum to enable thought leaders to debate major challenges in AIDS. They will hold, with the Lancet, the final debate of the series as part of the 2012 IAC. This satellite will present an interactive webcast of the event live from the WB Office and give participants the opportunity to submit questions. After introduction from Ms Tamar Atinc, WB VP for Human Development, Dr. Jim Yong Kim, WB President, Dr. Rajiv Shah, USAID Administrator,and President Festus Mogae, will deliver opening remarks, with Dr. Richard Horton as the moderator, Dr. Charles Holmes as debate introducer, Dr David Serwadda providing closing summary and Ambassador Eric Goosby closing the debate. Dr. Jeffrey Sachs, Mr. Michel Sidibé, Dr. Roger England and Dr Mead Over will debate the statement "continued AIDS investments by donors and governments are a sound investment, even in a resource-constrained environment".
